The UC Online Ambassador Program gives current online students and alumni a meaningful way to use their experiences to make a difference for fellow online learners.
Through their voices, stories and involvement, ambassadors help strengthen the UC Online community and create an experience where students feel connected, supported and empowered to succeed.
What Is a UC Online Ambassador?
UC Online Ambassadors are current students and alumni who represent the online Bearcat community. They offer an authentic perspective to prospective students, participate in UC Online initiatives and help others understand what it’s really like to earn a degree online.

Ambassador Opportunities
There are several ways to get involved as a UC Online Ambassador. Choose opportunities that fit your interests and availability.
Social Media
Post on your personal social media accounts 2–3 times per month. Posts may highlight your UC Online experience, accomplishments, program, events or helpful resources.
Storytelling
Contribute to UC Online stories and content through blog features, testimonials, interviews, videos, photos or social media features.
Connect With Future Bearcats
Answer questions and share your perspective to help prospective students understand what it’s like to earn a degree online.
Events & Activities
Participate in select virtual or in-person events and activities throughout the year.
Support Fellow Students
Offer advice, encouragement and insights based on your own experience.
Share Your Perspective
Provide feedback and ideas to help inform the student experience and future ambassador opportunities.
Your Commitment
The Ambassador Program is a one-year commitment. Opportunities vary throughout the year, and you can choose those that fit your interests and availability.
As an ambassador, you’re encouraged to stay actively involved by participating in opportunities, responding to requests from the UC Online team when applicable and representing the program in a positive and authentic way.

Yes, it is highly encouraged that current online students and former online students become student ambassadors. Sharing your online learning experience can help improve and provide a positive impact on prospective and current online learners.
Are student ambassadors paid?
No, the UC Online Student Ambassador Program is a volunteer opportunity, rooted in community impact.
Can on-campus students and/or graduates become an online ambassador?
Not at this time; the student ambassador program is intended for online students and alumni so that they can share their online educational experience. If you are interested in becoming a UC Student Ambassador, there are a few programs across campus. Reach out to a staff member with the corresponding college your program is/was a part of to find more information.
What is the difference between an ambassador and a mentor?
Ambassadors represent and promote an organization by sharing their experiences, engaging with prospective students, and helping build community awareness. Mentors, on the other hand, provide guidance and support to individuals by offering advice, sharing resources, and helping them navigate challenges. While ambassadors focus on outreach and advocacy, mentors focus on personal and academic development.
